Your family is invited to join a young boy as he embarks on a magical adventure to the North Pole on the Polar Express.
This year, you have two opportunities to attend this special event: Sunday, December 23 at 10 AM, and Christmas Eve at 10 AM.
Come to the Newtown Theatre in your Christmas PJs and enjoy the movie, free hot chocolate, a free Santa sleigh bell for every child, and a special reading of the poem Twas the Night Before Christmas before the film.
Thanks to Harris Comfort for supporting these screenings.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will the concession stand be open?
Yes, you're welcome to purchase popcorn, candy, and drinks at the concession stand. We will also offer free hot chocolate to all attendees.
What's included with my ticket purchase?
In addition to the screening of The Polar Express, enjoy free hot chocolate (for everyone), a free Santa sleigh bell (one per child), and a special reading of "Twas the Night Before Christmas" before the movie.
Can I reserve seats?
All tickets are general admission. Seating is first come, first served. We recommend arriving early if you're attending with a large group.
What are my parking options?
Free street parking is available along State Street, in the municipal lot between Washington and Centre Avenues, or the municipal lot next to Newtown Borough Hall (23 North State Street).
What's the refund policy?
All ticket sales are final, and refunds will not be offered for any reason—no exceptions. If you can't attend, you're welcome to give your tickets to someone else.
Should I bring my tickets to the event?
Please do! Electronic or hard copy is fine. We recommend printing them out (or saving them to your phone) as soon as soon as you buy them because we can't guarantee we'll be able to resend your order on the day of the screening.
