Live music returns! Join us for an intimate evening of acoustic music at the Newtown Theatre on Friday, November 20 at 8 PM. Musicians Chelsea Mitchell and Matt Dorsey will perform both covers and originals.

Capacity is 55 people. Tickets are first come, first served!

Tickets are available only at the box office beginning at 7 PM on November 20. Tickets will not be sold online or at the box office before November 20. Cost is $10 per person.

Credit cards only for ticket and concession purchases.

The capacity for this show is 55 people. Tickets and seating are first come, first served. We recommend arriving early to ensure tickets are still available!

To ensure proper social distancing, every other row will be blocked off, and guests from different groups will be asked to sit at least six feet apart. The balcony will be open, ensuring plenty of space to socially distance.

Masks must be worn while inside the Newtown Theatre unless you’re eating or drinking.

Concessions and beer/wine will be available for purchase. Credit cards only for ticket and concession purchases.

Doors and box office open at 7 PM and the concert begins at 8 PM.

MEET THE MUSICIANS

Since emerging on the Philly folk scene in 2005, singer-songwriter Chelsea Mitchell has become known for powerful vocals and raw lyrical honesty. Her wide repertoire reflects many styles and eras, but most listeners compare her clear, expressive voice to songbirds of the seventies – namely, Joni Mitchell (no relation).

Originally from Tennessee, Matt Dorsey has a family line and a history of music rooting from the Carter Family (June Carter). Matt and his wife Camille moved to Newtown in 2011, and Matt is now a member of the band Dorsea.
