The Newtown Theatre will present a Christmas Classical Concert by Candlelight on Saturday, December 11 at 8 PM.
This one-of-a-kind concert will be illuminated by hundreds of candles and feature string musicians from the Newtown Chamber Orchestra. This will be the first live performance by the orchestra since the beginning of the pandemic.
Tickets are $30 per person and $25 for Newtown Theatre members. Any remaining tickets will be sold for $40 at the door on the night of the show (if available). All seating is general admission.
About the Concert
The concert will include well-known works drawn from the baroque and classical periods as well as the 20th century. Among the featured composers are Arcangelo Corelli, Leopold Mozart, Ottorino Resphighi, and others. In addition, international soprano Holly Gash will perform the beloved Gesu Bambino by Pietro Yon. The orchestra will also mix in some fun holiday songs of a more popular nature. This is a concert for all ages.

Doors open at 7 PM and the concert starts at 8 PM.
The concession stand will be open. Beer and wine will be available for purchase before the show and during intermission.
All tickets are general admission.
All ticket sales are final. Refunds will not be offered for any reason. If you can't attend, you're welcome to give your tickets to someone else. The name on the ticket does not have to match the person using it.
