Following the movie, Newtown resident Paul Mezey, founder of Journeyman Pictures and a producer of Marcel the Shell With Shoes On, will discuss the movie and answer questions.
Marcel the Shell With Shoes On will be on the big screen for one night only on Saturday, September 24 at 8 PM.
This feel-good mockumentary is based on the adorable YouTube videos made by Jenny Slate and Dean Fleischer-Camp. The film tells the story of Marcel, an anthropomorphic one-inch-tall seashell who is outfitted with a single googly eye and a pair of miniature shoes. Marcel ekes out a colorful existence with his grandmother Connie and their pet lint, Alan. One reviewer describes the movie as “the year’s cutest and most endearing movie that will make you laugh and cry.”
