SOLD OUT - The Hidden Life of Trees Documentary and Q&A

  • The Newtown Theatre 120 North State Street Newtown, PA 18940 (map)

SOLD OUT!

Co-hosted with Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve

The historic Newtown Theatre will screen “The Hidden Life of Trees” on Tuesday, March 21 at 7:30 PM. Following the documentary, two guest speakers will be available to discuss the film and answer questions.

In this documentary, renowned forester and author Peter Wohlleben travels the world while discussing, debating and explaining the amazing process of life, death and the regeneration of trees. The result is an immersive and eye-opening look at the scientific mechanisms behind these wonders of nature. Combining ecological, biological and academic expertise with matter-of-fact candor, Wohlleben inspires us to really see the forest for the trees.

Guest speakers for the evening will be Aaron Greenberg, the Arboretum Manager at Laurel Hill Cemetery and the state coordinator of PA Big Trees, and James Bray, a naturalist at Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve, a Master Gardener, and past Chairman of the Lower Makefield Township Environmental Council.

Tickets for this special one-night-only screening are available online for $15 per person or $10 for members of the theatre and Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve.

Any remaining tickets will be sold for $20 at the door for everyone on the night of the movie (if available).
