Music on the Street returns to Newtown Borough this summer with an eclectic series of eight free outdoor concerts!

On August 1, Faraway Guys will play classic rock, blues, and alternative from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the short stretch of Greene Street between State Street and the creek (next to the Newtown Bicycle Shop).

After August 1, the Music on the Street series continues with:

• Brad Hinton playing acoustical songs of heartbreak and hope on August 8

• RSVP Brass Quintet playing traditional and exotic brass tunes on August 15

• Dockside playing classic rock on August 22

• Meg Russell playing Americana and contemporary rock on August 29
