The historic Newtown Theatre and Bike Works will co-host a screening of “Nothing’s for Free: The History of Freeride Mountain Biking” on Thursday, September 21 at 7:30 PM.

Every sport has its Dog Town and Z Boys or Riding Giants. “Nothing’s For Free” is the real story of the birth and legacy of freeride mountain biking. Chronicling the blue-collar story and rise of a cult sport to a global phenomenon that put the race-driven sport of mountain biking on the map in the world of action sports and the mainstream.

“Nothing’s for Free” features the biggest names in mountain biking from the early pioneers of adventure to modern-day internet superstars like Danny Macaskill and Brandon Semenuk.

Online tickets are $15 per person or $10 for theatre members. Any remaining tickets will be sold for $20 at the door on the night of the movie.

  • All seating is general admission.

  • The doors open at 7 PM and the film starts at 7:30 PM.

  • Members of the Newtown Theatre, please be prepared to present your membership card at the door. 

  • Please bring your tickets! Electronic or hard copy is fine. We recommend printing them out (or saving them to your phone) as soon as soon as you buy them.
