The historic Newtown Theatre will present “FOOZER: A Tribute to Foo Fighters & Weezer” on Saturday, November 2 at 8 PM.
FOOZER is a culmination of a weird, realized dream and answer to the question…what if we combined the guitar-heavy, pop/rock of two great bands that launched in the 90s – Foo Fighters and Weezer. FOOZER is comprised of former band members from Hyperactive, one of New Jersey’s best-known indie bands. Over a 30-year span, they rocked the Jersey shore with a style that ranged from their own ska-infused originals to covering just about every genre of music.
Today, as FOOZER, the gents do a deep dive into the Foo & the Weez playing essential tracks and their favorite b-sides. Band members, Mark Dileo (bass), Mike Beach (lead guitar) Tom Cottone (drums) and Joe Bembry (lead vocal, rhythm guitar) give their own spin on the brilliant songwriting of Rivers Cuomo and Dave Grohl while remaining true to the music’s vital energy and intention.
Online tickets are $32 per person or $27 for theatre members. Any remaining tickets will be sold for $42 at the door on the night of the show (if available).
All seating is general admission.

Doors open at 7 PM and the concert starts at 8 PM.
Beer, wine and canned cocktails will be available for purchase at the theatre before and during the show.
All ticket sales are final – please be aware of what event you are buying tickets for. Refunds or ticket “exchanges” will not be offered for any reason. If you can't attend an event, you're welcome to give your tickets to someone else. The name on the ticket does not have to match the person using it.
