The Best of Bob Marley...And More

  • The Newtown Theatre 120 North State Street Newtown, PA 18940 (map)

Pioneering reggae artist Bob Marley would have turned 79 in February 2024. To celebrate his birthday, the Newtown Theatre will present its second annual “Best of Bob Marley…And More” on Friday, February 9 at 8 PM.

The concert will feature Crucial, a Philadelphia-based band known for its powerfully original style of roots, rock, and reggae. Crucial’s Newtown concert will feature songs celebrating the music and legacy of Bob Marley, reggae-inspired covers, and select original songs culled from the band’s nearly 20-year history.

Crucial has spread a message of love, equality, and positive energy through their music since the band’s founding in 2003. Since then, they have shared the stage with artists such as Sizzla, The Wailers, Luciano, Israel Vibration, and many others.

Online tickets are $32 per person or $27 for theatre members. Any remaining tickets will be sold for $42 at the door on the night of the show (if available).

All seating is general admission.

HISTORIC RENOVATION FEE

In the summer of 2024, the historic Newtown Theatre will undertake Phase II of its master renovation plan, which includes renovating our balcony and expanding and improving our basement restrooms. To help pay for these exciting upgrades, we have implemented a $2 historic renovation fee on every ticket of $15 or more. This fee is just one part of an overall plan to raise the $600,000 required to make these upgrades. Thank you for supporting your historic hometown theatre!
