Diggery Dinosaur

  • The Newtown Theatre 120 North State Street Newtown, PA 18940 (map)

Diggery Digger’s Dino Adventure is coming to the historic Newtown Theatre on Sunday, March 24 at 4 PM.

Good for ages Pre-K through 4th grade, this interactive show makes the audience part of the action. While paleontologist Diggery is showing his dinosaur fossils to the audience, he discovers a “top secret” box the museum accidentally packed. Curious, Diggery opens the box and unleashes the DinoSauroScope 3000, taking the audience back in time to interact with dinosaurs.

All is well until they use the machine on a large dinosaur egg. The egg hatches and an amazing thing happens. The dinosaurs in museums around the world begin to come alive! The only way to stop this dinosaur regeneration is to return the baby dinosaur back to its mother.

The show has incredible props, including large interactive animated characters, dinosaur bones, a giant dinosaur egg and beautiful puppets. Combined with intriguing magic and rocking music, this is a memorable adventure.

Online tickets are $32 per person or $27 for theatre members and children 12 and under. Any remaining tickets will be sold for $42 at the door on the day of the show (if available).

All seating is general admission.

HISTORIC RENOVATION FEE

In the summer of 2024, the historic Newtown Theatre will undertake Phase II of its master renovation plan, which includes renovating our balcony and expanding and improving our basement restrooms. To help pay for these exciting upgrades, we have implemented a $2 historic renovation fee on every ticket of $15 or more. This fee is just one part of an overall plan to raise the $600,000 required to make these upgrades. Thank you for supporting your historic hometown theatre!
