The historic Newtown Theatre welcomes back “The Ultimate Creedence Clearwater Revival/John Fogerty Tribute Show” featuring Green River on Saturday, March 30 at 8 PM.
The show is very faithful to a live CCR performance. Concertgoers will hear all their favorite CCR classics, including Bad Moon Rising, Proud Mary, and Up Around the Bend to name a few, as well as songs that the band would turn into live jams such as Born on the Bayou and Susie Q. The band also mixes in John Fogerty classics such as The Old Man Down the Road and Centerfield.
Green River is the brainchild of native New Yorker Rick Horvath. “Noodles,” as he is affectionately known, started singing CCR songs in his first band when he was only 13 years old.
Online tickets are $37 per person or $32 for theatre members. Any remaining tickets will be sold for $47 at the door on the night of the show (if available).
All seating is general admission.
HISTORIC RENOVATION FEE
In the summer of 2024, the historic Newtown Theatre will undertake Phase II of its master renovation plan, which includes renovating our balcony and expanding and improving our basement restrooms. To help pay for these exciting upgrades, we have implemented a $2 historic renovation fee on every ticket of $15 or more. This fee is just one part of an overall plan to raise the $600,000 required to make these upgrades. Thank you for supporting your historic hometown theatre!

Doors open at 7 PM and the concert starts at 8 PM.
Beer, wine and canned cocktails will be available for purchase at the theatre before and during the show.
All ticket sales are final – please be aware of what event you are buying tickets for. Refunds or ticket “exchanges” will not be offered for any reason. If you can't attend an event, you're welcome to give your tickets to someone else. The name on the ticket does not have to match the person using it.
