Private Guitar Workshop with Tim Farrell

Internationally acclaimed guitarist Tim Farrell will offer a private workshop for guitarists. The workshop will focus on guitar fundamentals and concepts and is for anyone who wants to improve their playing and have fun at the same time.

The workshop is limited to 15 people and is open to all skill levels and musical preferences.

During the workshop, Farrell will explore the elements of good fingerstyle guitar playing, from simple accompaniment to solo performance pieces. He will also discuss proper hand and body positions to help achieve the best musical results and maintain good ergonomic posture.

  • Ticket sales are final. Refunds or ticket exchanges will not be offered. If you can't attend, you're welcome to give your tickets to someone else.

WORKSHOP DETAILS

  • Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the starting time.

  • Free parking is available along North State Street, in the municipal lot between Washington and Centre Avenue, and in the municipal lot next to Newtown Borough Hall (23 North State Street).

  • We have a wheelchair lift on our front porch and an accessible restroom on the first floor. There are no steps to climb to access the first floor of the auditorium. There are steps to the balcony.

About the Artist

Tim Farrell, a Council Rock graduate, is one of only four guitarists to be honored as one of the 100 Greatest Acoustic Guitarists who have also won Best Instrumental in the International Acoustic Music Awards. He has entertained audiences internationally, appearing at venues such as the Kimmel Center, Montreal Jazz Festival, Carnegie Center, Hard Rock Live, Metropolitan Museum of Arts, Memphis Acoustic Guitar Festival, and Woodstock Invitational Luthiers Showcase among others.
