Saturday, September 7 ♦ 6:00 - 11:00 PM
The Newtown Theatre cordially invites you to the fourth annual Black & White Dinner, a festive public picnic held on the street outside the historic Newtown Theatre in Bucks County.
Proceeds from this fundraiser help the non-profit Newtown Theatre maintain its facility and programming.
Dress Up
Resurrect the elegance of a bygone Hollywood era! At this event, guests dress only in black and white. You're welcome to coordinate outfits with a group of friends or dress up like a Hollywood legend—as long as it's black and white, the sky's the limit! Prizes will be awarded after dinner to the Best Dressed Man, Best Dressed Woman, and Best Dressed Group.
Decorate
When you arrive to the Black & White Dinner, you'll find a long communal table with tablecloths and chairs. You're welcome to decorate your place at the table with black and white decor. Decorations may be elegant, movie-themed, theatre-inspired—it's up to you! Prizes will be awarded to those who bring the Most Elegant Decor and Most Creative Decor.
Dine
Black & White Dinner guests bring a picnic dinner for you and your partner or group. That includes beverages, flatware and utensils. Set-up is from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, and dinner begins at 7:00.
Homemade food or take-out from a local restaurant are welcome. Please note that alcohol beverages are not permitted.
After dinner, head into the theatre for a free screening of His Girl Friday (1940).
