Pioneering reggae artist Bob Marley would have turned 78 in February 2023. To celebrate his birthday, the Newtown Theatre will present “The Best of Bob Marley…And More” on Saturday, February 11 at 8 PM.

The concert will feature Crucial, a Philadelphia-based band known for its powerfully original style of roots, rock, and reggae. Crucial’s Newtown concert will feature songs celebrating the music and legacy of Bob Marley, reggae-inspired covers, and select original songs culled from the band’s nearly 20-year history as a group.

Crucial has spread a message of love, equality, and positive energy through their music since the band’s founding in 2003. Since then, they have shared the stage with artists such as Sizzla, The Wailers, Luciano, Israel Vibration, and many others.

Tickets are $30 per person or $25 for theatre members. Any remaining tickets will be sold for $40 at the door on the night of the show (if available).

All seating is general admission.

• Doors open at 7 PM and the concert starts at 8 PM.

• The concession stand will be open. Beer and wine will be available for purchase before the show and during intermission. 

• All tickets are general admission.

• All ticket sales are final. Refunds will not be offered for any reason. If you can't attend, you're welcome to give your tickets to someone else. The name on the ticket does not have to match the person using it.
