Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get tickets?
Tickets are available online only starting Friday, November 1 at 8:00 AM. These screenings sell out in advance, and tickets will not be available at the door!
We strongly urge you not to purchase tickets from someone offering them on social media. Scammers have attempted this in previous years.
What's included with my ticket purchase?
In addition to the screening of The Polar Express, enjoy free hot chocolate (for everyone) and a free Santa sleigh bell (one per child).
Do I need a ticket for my infant/toddler?
Yes. All guests, including babes in arms, must have a ticket.
Will the concession stand be open?
Yes, you're welcome to purchase popcorn, candy, and drinks at the concession stand. We will also offer free hot chocolate to all attendees.
Can I reserve seats?
No, all tickets are General Admission. Seating is first come, first served. We recommend arriving early if you're attending with a large group. Doors open one hour before each screening.
What are my parking options?
Free street parking is available along State Street, in the municipal lot between Washington and Centre Avenues, or the municipal lot next to Newtown Borough Hall (23 North State Street).
Can I get a refund or exchange my tickets for a different date?
All ticket sales are final. Refunds will not be offered for any reason, including selecting the wrong screening. There are no exceptions to this policy.
If you can't attend, you're welcome to give your tickets to someone else. The name on the ticket does not have to match the person using it.
We strongly urge you not to purchase tickets from someone offering them on social media. Scammers have attempted this in previous years.
I didn't receive an email from Ticketbud with my tickets.
First, check your junk or spam folder in your inbox. If you don't see your tickets there, try to retrieve them here. If you have tried both of these things and you still don't see your tickets, please email events@thenewtowntheatre.com with your full name and the date your purchased your tickets.
Should I bring my tickets to the event?
Yes! Electronic or hard copy is fine. We recommend printing them out (or saving them to your phone) as soon as soon as you buy them. If you can't find your ticket, you can retrieve them here.
I have a question that wasn't answered here.
Please email events@thenewtowntheatre.com. Please note that we will not be able to respond to last-minute emails sent on December 21-24.
